About the project
We're building an exciting addition to the Great Yarmouth community! The new Marina Centre will include three swimming pools (25 metre, learner and leisure pools), a gym, sports hall, associated changing rooms and seaside Café, just to name a few items! Take a look at this page to find out more and make sure you check back for regular information as we keep you up to date with the progress of the project.
The new development is being built on the existing grounds of the previous centre along the Great Yarmouth Golden Mile. The project is being delivered for Great Yarmouth Borough Council, the £26 million investment will be a major boost to the economy and community for decades to come, acting as a catalyst for potential further investment and seafront regeneration, whilst supporting health and well-being for the whole borough.
Working in the Great Yarmouth community
Making a positive difference in the communities we work is a vital part of our responsible business plan. Our Community Investment Group supports our project teams in the delivery of local community engagement projects, and are part of the wider Morgan Sindall Construction team in the East, which operates out of four regional offices, with the Norwich Office being associated to this project.
Danny Branson the site manager for the Great Yarmouth Marina Centre project, is dedicated to maintaining communications with neighbours and the surrounding community. If you have any questions, please do get in touch with Danny via the contact form at the bottom of the page with any queries regarding the project.
As a business we are proud members of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, which has a Code of Considerate Practice designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.
Keeping you up to date with the project
We have a number of exciting plans relating to our work in the community, from working with local SMEs as part of the project to training opportunities for those in the area. All of these as they happen will be featured in the News section below.
