Maybole Community Campus achieves 44/45 on second CCS visit

News |

Well done to the team at Maybole Community Campus for achieving 44/45 on their second CCS visit.

The Maybole Community Campus project is registered with the CCS scheme. The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a not-for-profit, independent organisation founded to raise standards in the construction industry. Construction sites, companies and suppliers voluntarily register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. The Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice has three areas: Respect the Community, Care for the Environment and Value their Workforce.

We are delighted that the team’s efforts have been recognised in the scoring as we are always looking at ways to construct safer, more considerately, whilst caring for the environment we are working in and valuing those who are constructing in our behalf.

The Registered Activity continues to portray a very positive and professional first impression of the industry, There is close liaison with the neighbouring school, commercial outlets and the general public to ensure a positive impact and mitigate any inconvenience and there is a clear effort to support the local community via charities and goodwill works all of which is extremely positive. The company holds ISO14001 and there is a Climate Action Strategy in place to achieve their target as a business, of Net Zero Carbon by 2030. There is a clear culture on site of protecting and enhancing the environment and this is reinforced by all company vehicles moving to EV . There are excellent welfare facilities on site including showers lockers Wi-Fi and a quiet room and a full- time cleaning company is contracted to keep all facilities clean and hygienic. There are very clear policies and procedures in place regarding EDI/FIR, modern slavery ,RTW, bullying and harassment with operatives easily able to provide confidential feedback. The company holds ISO45001, drugs and alcohol testing is randomly set up, and general health and mental health issues are robustly addressed on site with clear support identified and offered. In conclusion, this was again an extremely positive and refreshing visit. Congratulations to the whole site team on the excellent standards achieved. - CCS Monitor Report
