Welcome to the project page for the Salmon's Brook Special School project, which is being built by Morgan Sindall Construction.
Here you can read about the project and its positive effect on the community, and track progress as it happens.
Salmon's Brook Special School will be built by Morgan Sindall Construction's, Northern Home Counties team. The new 70-place secondary school will cater for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEHM) in Enfield.
The project will include the construction of a single story building, which will include 12 classrooms, science laboratories, food tech facilities, music studios and a double-height sports hall. You can find out more about our appointment to the project by the Department for Education (DfE) in this press release.
Making a positive difference in the communities we work is a vital part of our responsible business plan. Our Community Investment Group supports our project teams in the delivery of local community engagement projects. The Northern Home Counties team is part of the wider London & Home Counties business unit, which operates out of four regional offices, the Welwyn Garden City Office being associated with this project.
Norma Odain-Hines, Community Investment Manager, is the dedicated community contact for the Salmon's Brook Special School project and will maintain communications with neighbours and the surrounding community. If you have any questions, please do get in touch with Norma via the contact form at the bottom of the page with any queries regarding the project.
As a business we are proud members of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, which has a Code of Considerate Practice designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.
This page will provide a snapshot of activities we have been undertaking in the local community.

As the Project Manager, I will lead the project team through planning, organising and controlling the project from start to finish.
CloseAs part of the operational team, I’m responsible for coordinating the close management of subcontractors to ensure we progress smoothly against programme goals, delivering maximum quality throughout the build; all whilst minimising any impact the project may have on the community.
CloseMy name is Norma, and I will be your dedicated Community Investment Manager. I have a passion for my role and the positive impact it has on people’s like and the community in which we all work and live.
