St Richards is a hospital building, located in Chichester.
Morgan Sindall will be responsible for the construction of a new outpatients building. The building will be prefabricated by Eco Modular to reduce the building’s carbon footprint and reduce waste on site. The new outpatients department will benefit from 8 new consulting rooms, 3 open plan offices and a waiting area.
We will also be re-furbishing the A&E department to make it more fit for purpose with separate paediatric and adult units, a minor injuries unit and improved amenities. The department will also be fit-out with new equipment.
Making a positive difference in the communities we work is a vital part of our responsible business plan. Our Community Investment Group supports our project teams in the delivery of local community engagement projects. The St Richards Hospital team is part of the wider London & Home Counties business unit, which operates out of four regional offices, the Brighton Office being associated with this project.

An urgent requirement for a new Outpatients space to be ready in seven months, meant that modular construction was the best solution for St Richards Hospital, University Hospitals Sussex NHS.
As the Senior Project Manager, I will ensure our Project team has the support and necessary resources to safely achieve the Perfect Delivery. Our teams focus will be working with our Client and their key stakeholders to build to ensure we exceed our client’s expectations in all areas whilst recognising and delivering the scheme with minimal impact to all local community stakeholders.

As the lead on the project, I’ll be working closely with the site management and commercial teams to steer this project to meet the time, cost and quality objectives, while ensuring minimum impact on the local community.

As part of the operational team, I’m responsible for coordinating the close management of subcontractors to ensure we progress smoothly against programme goals, delivering maximum quality throughout the build; all whilst minimising any impact the project may have on the community.

Throughout the project I’ll be supporting the operations team, working closely with the supply chain ensuring the project is delivered safely and to a high quality.

I will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of the project, this will include reporting to the client on change control, cash flow and budget to aid in managing financial targets. I will also oversee all subcontract order placement and package management.

I will be responsible for aiding Susie and the commercial team in ensuring we achieve the best value for Brighton & Hove City Council. I am also the Social Value lead for Victoria Road so I will be keeping track of our environmental targets and organising volunteering with the food bank in Portslade town hall.

Having worked on the project from pre-construction phase, I’ll carefully manage its design elements, coordinating the designers to develop the project details in line with the needs of the end user.

As Morgan Sindall’s SHE adviser, I will be working closely with the site team and subcontractors to promote a positive health and safety culture in the workplace. As a team will ensure that all workers comply with safety legislation and that safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to.
