What we need from you

Reporting to the Construction Director of our Scotland Business, you will lead, manage, and successfully deliver the special works projects (a value band of £0 - £7.5m) across Central and Southern Scotland to our customer’s satisfaction in accordance with Morgan Sindall Standards. The Special Works Manager will form part of our Senior Management Team and manage multidisciplinary special works projects and their associated activities from conception through to completion, including income stream.

  • Are you experienced in project management or potentially looking for a move into special works projects and can demonstrate management in complex multidisciplinary construction schemes in a significant capacity?
  • You will have a qualification or the skills and experience at a minimum SCQF Level 8/9 (e.g. HND, DipHE), preferably SCQF Level 10 (Degree, PGCE).
  • Be responsible for the management accounts for all special works projects and update operational position to essential stakeholders. This will include the Regional Directors.
  • Identify and respond to risk and opportunities to support continuous business planning activities
  • Demonstrate inter-team collaboration, working closely with pre-construction, business development, operational, and aftercare functions.
  • Establish real situational leadership to achieve successful delivery and a people-focused approach.
  • Playing a vital role in delivering company values and responsible business commitments.
  • Have a real passion for the industry and want to deliver exceptionally, the places where we live, learn, work, play, care and protect.
  • You will need to be able to provide or obtain the right to work in the UK.
  • You will need to be able to drive and provide or obtain a full UK Driving Licence.
