Working together with our supply chain

Our supply chain partners are an extension of our business, helping us to deliver exceptional experiences for our customers and create inspiring places that enhance the communities in which we all live, learn, work, play, care and protect.

We recognise that their performance, support and engagement are key to our continued success, and we want our supply chain to choose to work with Morgan Sindall Construction and to be their 'customer of choice.'

Joining our supply chain

We regularly engage with new businesses who want to become part of our supply chain, as we grow and further develop our business, as we enter new geographical areas, and as our work mix evolves.

In order to join our supply chain, you will need to be sponsored by one of our regional business units, who will then invite you to undertake a pre-qualification questionnaire via Builders Profile.

As a decentralised business, we deliver locally through five regions, each with a number of local offices.

To register your interest in joining our supply chain and be pointed to the relevant regional business unit contact, please complete the form at the bottom of this page.

Why work with us?

We treat our suppliers as partners as they are key to our success

Our strong, positive supply chain culture ensures we are consistently able to go the extra mile and deliver exceptional experiences for our customers and the local communities within which we work.

We’re proud of our committed supply chain, who embody our values, and our philosophy of 100% Safe and Perfect Delivery. Like us, our supply chain take pride in seeking new ways to create best practice in the construction industry, working collaboratively by sharing ideas and innovation.

They act with professionalism, honesty and transparency to deliver each and every project ahead of our customers’ expectations.

Our preferred supply chain partners

We recognise and reward our top performing supply chain partners with whom we have developed a strong and trusting relationship over time, by inviting them to become Preferred Partners. This is reviewed on an annual basis, and our Preferred Partners retain their status subject to continued high performance and proactive support.

Our Preferred Supply Chain Partners work collaboratively with us to support our customers with the design and development of their construction projects, engaging early to provide technical support and advice, and working with us to achieved Perfect Delivery on site.

In return, these Preferred Partners enjoy a more structured relationship engagement, the appointment of a senior point of contact within their sponsor business unit, the opportunity for repeat work and to grow our relationship, and the benefit of zero retention being held.

We proactively seek opportunities to partner with our Preferred subcontractors on relevant projects, and we enjoy close working relationships at all levels in our respective businesses.

Our supply chain payment performance

We are very proud of our financial position and the contribution we make to Morgan Sindall Group plc, not least in our long-standing support of the Prompt Payment Code.

We remain fully committed to the prompt payment of our supply chain, having made significant investments in improving both our internal processes and our payment terms over the past few years. These actions and our continued commitment are in recognition of the critical importance of our supply chain relationships and the importance of working capital liquidity within the supply chain, and are supported by the Group’s strong balance sheet.

Reward and recognition

We believe in rewarding our suppliers for the work they do to help us deliver to a consistently high standard. Just some of this recognition includes, rewarding our suppliers with preferred status to awarding Perfect Delivery to our suppliers in recognition of their contribution to the project and striving to create exceptional experiences for our customers.

Our regional business units each hold supply chain awards, recognising our suppliers in key categories such as Innovation, Safety and Social Value. Selected regional winners are also invited to our National Supply Chain Awards later on in the year, of which, winners and highly commended are chosen to be recognised on a national level.
