Project Progress - November 2025

Welcome to the November edition of our newsletter for the Mill Yard Project

Block Progress

The site has progressed well in the last period. The concrete frame on Block A (on the corner of the site towards Mill Road) is nearing completion with the roof steelwork commencing, which gives an idea of the height of the building. Internally in this block, the flats will now begin to be formed as well being enveloped by the external wall with our aim to get the buildings watertight as soon as possible.

The commercial blocks, Block B, C & D which run parallel to the railway line, are also progressing well with the concrete frame going up floor by floor. These blocks consist of a ‘post tensioned concrete slab’ which allows larger areas within the buildings without the need for columns and maintaining the height of the rooms.

Block E, which is the only block that doesn’t consist of a concrete frame,  has commenced in earnest and the steel frame is now clearly visible with its attractive shape.

Block F and G are following close behind and within the next period we will be complete in the ground and the concrete frames continuing.

Planned Progress

Looking ahead into the next period, we will be looking to continue the progress the frames up to the festive period.

Community Engagement

We have hosted several initiatives on site including Healthy Eating and Mental Health events ran by our visiting partner ‘The Healthy Employee’ as well as Coffee and Cake by ‘Combat2Coffee’ for operatives on site.

On the 26th November, we are hosting a ‘Community drop in’ at the site Marketing Suite which is location at the station end of site (Gate A). We will be able to give you further updates on site, and answer any questions you may have. We ask that you register your interest by emailing [email protected]

Keep an eye out for our festive lights that will be making an appearance in Decemeber!
