Site Activities
We are pleased to advise that construction of the new Pilgrims’ Way School has now been completed. The decant process has commenced and will be completed prior to Christmas, with resources and equipment from the existing school building currently being transferred into the new facility.
The official Completion of the new building will take place on 5 January. Following handover, the school will have several days to unpack, set up classrooms, and prepare the new environment ahead of the pupils’ return on 8 January.
Upcoming work
As part of the next phase of works, a full refurbishment and demolition (R&D) survey will be completed prior to the commencement of any demolition activities. This will be carried out alongside the isolation and disconnection of all relevant services to the old building.
Where asbestos-containing materials are identified, these will be removed in advance of demolition under fully controlled conditions. All asbestos removal works will be undertaken by appropriately trained, licensed, and regulated specialist contractors, in full compliance with current health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
