Project Update - August 2025

Morgan Sindall Construction zones progress during August 2025 as follows:

Community Hub

The Community Hub has moved quickly into the next phase of foundations having now completed the piling works. Within the next month, the building is expected to begin rising from the ground creating a new focal point for visitors and community activities.

Woodland Car Park

In the Woodland car park, teams have continued to work well with finishing surfaces expected to be laid in the coming weeks.

Family Zone

The Family Zone is a key feature of the development and has already seen the former boating lake reshaped in readiness for specialist works set to being later this year.

Alpine Snow Sports Centre

The Snow Sports area has progressed well in the month with the demolition of the existing lodge building and cabins now complete in preparation for major civils works to begin on the new building footprint and slopes.

When complete, the redeveloped Outdoor Sport Centre will offer unprecedented benefits to local residents and sporting communities, delivering modern, accessible facilities that reflect Southampton's ambition as a city for active living.
