New Community Facility
We are pleased to share that the new Community Quad is now in operation and available for public bookings. This facility is situated at the bottom corner of the new Woodland Car Park.
The Community Quad is an interim facility that has been installed ahead of the new Community Hub building being fully open and operational. It will start to lay the foundations for sporting organisations and groups to maximise usage of these exciting new facilities for our communities in years to come. In addition, it provides a training facility and meeting space for community groups.
The Quad is currently being utilised on a daily basis during term time between 10am-2.30pm by Primary Sports Development, which offers a fully assured alternative provision working in partnership with Southampton City Council referrals. Primary Sports Development is run by experienced sports coaches who work closely with schools not only in Southampton but the wider Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire counties delivering a range of sporting activities, including school clubs, holiday clubs, sports days and PE lessons.
