Site Engineer's Return Visit to Redbridge Construction Academy

For the second year running, Morgan Sindall have partnered with specialist equipment suppliers Vp plc ESS to deliver a hands-on surveying session for Year 11 construction students at Redbridge Community School.

Lee Chandler, Senior Site Engineer, has delivered a session for the students each year of our partnership and really brought it to life with the most-up-to-date equipment provided by ESS. Every year the students are blown away about what is involved in his role and the value of the equipment he uses.

ESS explained the work they do and introduced them to some of their scanning equipment which is at the very forefront surveying technology. Very quickly the students got to try out the scanners and tables themselves and it was fantastic to see just how intuitive they found it.

Another practical session which has a massive impact in showcasing other roles within our industry open to these young people thinking about their first career choices.
