About the role
You will be working within our Yorkshire Construction Business where you will:
Ensure that frameworks/projects/contracts are delivered in full compliance with health and safety, quality, and environmental legislation as well as compliant with Morgan Sindall and customer procedures
Monitor progress against the works programme and manage the impact of additional work and delays
Produce customer and internal monthly progress reports
Ensure the most effective and efficient use of resources and any subsequent recovery to satisfactory completion
Challenge design and construction methods to ensure the safest most cost-effective methods are used
Create team spirit and develop the project delivery team to create a high-performing team
Provide effective leadership ensuring full compliance with all Morgan Sindall policies and procedures
Achieve profitable business results through adding value within the integrated team
What are we looking for?
Already experienced as a Senior Contracts Manager you will be educated to higher HNC/HND level in Building Studies (or equivalent). You will have experience of ensuring that contracts are within full compliance with health and safety, quality, and environmental legislation as well as compliant with company procedures. Ensuring all risks are understood and sufficiently managed. You will also have experience of monitoring and driving progress of the construction/maintenance to ensure the finished works are to the correct specification. Have the skills to mentor, motivate and performance manage the teams to ensure optimum and effective delivery
Experience in the main contracting market working on Healthcare, Education, Residential, Leisure, Defence and Commercial Projects between £5 and £50 million.
