Morgan Sindall Construction's Thames Valley business has teamed up with sister company Overbury in a collaborative bid, and has successfully been appointed to Oxford Inspire, a new University of Oxford framework set up to deliver a programme of renewal, expansion, and decarbonisation projects across the University's estate.
Oxford Inspire is a key route for delivering the University's capital plan over the coming years, covering construction projects from £500,000 up to major developments worth more than £15 million.
The Framework is split into two Lots: Lot 1 includes construction projects from £0.5 million to £15 million, and Lot 2 for projects that are valued over £15 million. The Morgan Sindall and Overbury team has been selected by the University for both Lots of the framework.
The framework is built on collaboration, early contractor involvement, and continuous improvement. Contractors will work with the University from the earliest stages of project development, helping to shape solutions, manage risk, improve programme certainty, and secure better value from the outset.
Digital working and innovation are also central to the framework as appointed contractors will share project information through a collaborative digital environment, giving transparent oversight of cost, programme, and risk, as well as linking with the University's developing digital estate systems.
James York, Area Director for Morgan Sindall Construction in the Thames Valley, said:
Oxford Inspire is a framework built around collaboration, and that's exactly how we like to work. The University has a significant programme of work ahead, and being involved from the earliest stages of each project means we can help shape the right solutions, manage risk early, and give the University more certainty on cost and programme. We're very much looking forward to working closely with the University and the other framework partners over the coming years."
