Morgan Sindall Construction celebrates their Supply Chain at its annual awards ceremony

News |

Morgan Sindall Construction host their annual supply chain awards, bringing together the highest performing supply chain partners from across the business to celebrate their achievements over 2023.

The annual awards ceremony was a culmination of regional events held around the business throughout 2023, with the winners from each of the regional categories brought together for a celebratory event and for a national winner to be crowned in each of ten award categories.

The event recognised the achievements of the supply chain throughout the 2022-2023 period, reiterating that their ongoing performance and engagement is crucial to Morgan Sindall’s growth and success. This event was also an opportunity for the leadership team to thank the supply chain partners for their support in helping them create inspiring places and deliver exceptional experiences for their customers.

The ceremony also focused on the continuation of collaborating and developing long-term relationships. Director of Supply Chain & Procurement, Gavin Jamieson, drew attention to the working groups recently established within the business and the benefit these have had so far for both Morgan Sindall and the supply chain, as well as the wider industry. As the tier one contractor continues to roll-out these programmes nationally, Gavin asked the attendees for their continued support and engagement.

This year, the event was held at the Forest of Arden Hotel in Birmingham which welcomed over 50 subcontractors and suppliers. Famous broadcaster and comedian Lucy Porter, entertained guests throughout the night as the evening's compere.

Director of Supply Chain & Procurement, Gavin Jamieson said:

‘Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 2023 National Supply Chain Awards. It’s always great to meet with our highest performing supply chain partners and recognise and reward the fantastic work that’s carried our nationally.
We see our supply chain as much more than a group of subcontractors and suppliers. They are an extension of our business, and hence their performance, support, and engagement are key to our continued growth and success. Our focus is on developing long term relationships where there is opportunity for mutual success, and we strive to attract and retain the best supply chain in the industry by being their ‘customer of choice’.
We continue to make significant investment in working with our supply chain – Innovative and collaborative working groups such as the Envelope Collaboration Day can only benefit everyone involved and we will look to do more of the same with a focus on the next generation of construction staff, we also offer our supply chain partners and their people free access to a range of online learning and development resources through our Supply Chain Academy.
We recognise the challenges the industry faces and firmly believe that with the supply chain relationships and initiatives we promote we are well equipped for the future.
We hope everyone enjoyed this year’s awards and we look forward to continuing our shared success in the future. For now, take a look at some of the winners from this year’s awards!
