Morgan Sindall Construction further bolsters North East presence with NEPO appointment

News |

Morgan Sindall Construction has secured a place on procurement group NEPO’s next-generation construction framework.

This latest framework from NEPO – North East Procurement Organisation - for councils and public bodies, is estimated to be worth around £800m. Its scope will cover a diverse range of construction projects over the next six years including new-build, extension, upgrade and refurbishment of buildings including schools, hospitals, libraries, social housing and civic facilities.

The framework is governed by the 12 North East Local Authorities - Darlington Borough Council, Durham County Council, Gateshead Council, Hartlepool Borough Council, Middlesbrough Council, Newcastle City Council, North Tyneside Council, Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, South Tyneside Council, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and Sunderland City Council.

Alex Isted, Morgan Sindall’s regional director for the North East, said:

We’re delighted to announce our appointment to the NEPO Construction framework. Through this framework, we will use our expertise and Intelligent Solutions approach to help our customers achieve their ambitions, creating inspiring facilities for people to live, work and play.
Being named on this framework is further testament to our talented people and investment across the North East and Cumbria region.”

Earlier this year Morgan Sindall launched its new North East office in Rotterdam House, a prominent city centre development on Newcastle’s Quayside.

The new office is a base for Morgan Sindall’s operations and projects across the North East and Cumbria. Last month, the contractor started a brand new £12m centre for leading workforce training provider TTE Technical, part of the Middlesbrough College Group.
