Morgan Sindall secures double reappointment on £1.5bn YORbuild Major Works 2

News |

Morgan Sindall Construction has secured its place on both lots of the new YORbuild Major Works 2 Framework - a £1.5bn programme delivering major public sector building projects across Yorkshire and Humber, and neighbouring regions.

The reappointment extends Morgan Sindall’s long-standing relationship with YORhub, enabling the business to be selected to deliver major building projects. These include new build, refurbishment, and design and decarbonisation schemes for eligible public sector bodies and third sector organisations across Yorkshire and Humber, the North East of England, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and parts of Leicestershire.

The business has been awarded a place on both Lot 1, covering projects between £10m and £30m, and Lot 2, for projects in excess of £30m – building on its position on the outgoing YORbuild3 Major Works framework.

YORbuild Major Works 2 is procured and managed by the public sector for the public sector. It is led by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Leeds City Council on behalf of YORhub, the collaborative construction procurement hub for the Yorkshire and Humber region. Now live, it will run for four years, with the option to extend for a further two.

Ben Hall, Area Director for Morgan Sindall Construction’s Yorkshire business, said:

We’re delighted to build on our relationship with YORhub through this new framework, having secured a place on both Lots of YORbuild Major Works 2. It’s a partnership built over several years, and one that reflects the trust placed in our team to keep delivering the public sector investment this region needs. The framework has a strong track record of turning that investment into local benefit, which is exactly how Morgan Sindall likes to operate, and we’re looking forward to the next chapter of projects with YORhub.”
