Here's the latest update

Site activities:

The dry weather in the last month has meant that progress on site has gone well. We have poured more of the pad foundations but have also made great progress on work to construct the pools. We have now cast most of the main pool floor and half of the learner pool floor.

We have also continued with the underground drainage. Asbestos removal to the existing school has commenced with 2 of the 6 blocks already cleared of Asbestos.

Community Engagement:

We have recently taken a resident of CBC on as an Apprentice QS, Sam Martin, called the site team to ask for work experience. Sam impressed us so much during the work experience that he was offered an apprenticeship which he commenced on the 22nd May.

This month also sees the Morgan Sindall “Neighbourhood week”. We will be carrying out volunteering work with local groups and donating a storage container and freezer to the Houghton Regis Helpers.

Upcoming Work in June

In the next period we are due to complete the construction of the pool floors and commence the pours to the concrete pool walls. We will complete the Asbestos removal to the former school building. The demolition of the existing school building will also commence in the period. The demolitions works are expected to take 12 weeks.
