Carpentry Work Experience

Declan, a previous Redbridge Construction Academy student, is currently completing his Level 2 Carpentry & Joinery course at Eastleigh College. As part of the course, he is required to do a minimum of 35 hours work experience with a related company.

New Forest Fencing were able to support him at their workshop where Declan excelled in his attitude and commitment. During the week he made 2 new gates for one of the projects they are working on.

We would have no hesitation in taking Declan again for work experience.

I really enjoyed it at New Forest Fencing. Everyone was nice and welcoming. I learnt how to build fence panels and make garden gates which was a great experience. I also learnt how to use a nail gun and a planer.
