June Update

We’ve made good progress at Watford Town Hall throughout May, with the introduction of several new trades and a number of milestones met. External activities have advanced steadily, with the installation of the new heritage rooflights now underway. The north elevation ramp continues to progress well, with steps due to be cast in the coming weeks. Works have also commenced to the south, with demolition now underway in preparation for upcoming foundations and drainage for the new accessible ramp.

Internally, we’ve made good progress as we continue into the fit-out phase. Floor preparation works have commenced across all levels, with vinyl install to the basement and parquet infills throughout scheduled to begin in the coming weeks. Plastering and mist coating are progressing well to prepare areas for final finishes, and tiling works to WC areas are due to commence next week. Acoustic ceiling panel installation has begun on the ground and second floors, and partitions and bulkheads continue throughout the ground floor. The majority of skirting is complete, and the first set of doors is scheduled for installation next week.

Mechanical and electrical installations are also developing well opening up areas to complete firestopping. Radiators have been installed throughout, ventilation progressing steadily, and the first delivery of sanitaryware is due this week.
