Sport is a catalyst for health, social cohesion and urban regeneration. Scotland

Over the past 12 months, our Scotland business has continued to deliver high‑quality projects across a variety of sectors, including completing Newton Nursery in Elgin – one of the largest tree‑production glasshouses in the UK – and beginning on‑site at the £103m Ardrossan Community Campus, a transformative development that will serve over 1,400 pupils and bring together education, leisure, and community facilities under one roof.

The business unit also strengthened its regional position through our appointment to the Hub North Scotland framework, enabling us to support a pipeline of major community infrastructure programmes across the North.

Alongside project delivery, the region maintained a strong focus on social value — partnering with CHAP to provide financial education for young people in Dumfries & Galloway and delivering its fourth successful World of Work Tasters event to help inspire the next generation of construction talent.

North

Over the past year, our North region has delivered a strong programme of projects across Greater Manchester, Liverpool, Yorkshire, the North East and Cumbria. Notable completions include Phase 3 of the Hammerstone Road Depot refurbishment in Manchester, the first phase of Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Outstanding Maternity Services (OMS) programme - delivering four major maternity upgrades at Bradford Royal Infirmary - and four new DfE schools in Newcastle, Wythenshawe, Stockport and Pontefract.

Work continues to progress on major healthcare projects, including Harrogate Hospital's Day Case Surgery and Imaging Centre as well as flagship life sciences and innovation facilities such as Plus Ultra Manchester in the city’s Knowledge Quarter, and a new innovation centre in Workington.

East

Over the past year, our East region has delivered major improvements across healthcare, education and placemaking. They've played a leading role in expanding NHS diagnostic capacity through new Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC), including the Newmarket CDC, Thurrock CDC, Northgate Hospital CDC, and are currently on site delivering St Margret's Hospital CDC, due to complete later this year. This latest insight piece explores the lessons learned so far from delivering these critical facilities.

The region has also continued to strengthen education provision, returning to the Alconbury Weald development to deliver the new secondary school and to Glenwood SEN School to build a dedicated sixth form facility. Alongside this, the region reached a major milestone at Cambridge’s Mill Yard development, celebrating the topping‑out of the MY Central office building — an important step in bringing forward a transformative new mixed‑use destination for the city.

London & Home Counties

The London and Home Counties business has delivered a strong pipeline of high‑quality projects across the leisure, community, residential, education and healthcare sectors. Highlights include several impactful community schemes, such as the completion of Woolwich Waves Leisure Centre, the creation of Hove Beach Park on Brighton's seafront, the restoration of the iconic Watford Town Hall and a vital refurbishment programme at St Richard’s Hospital. The team continued to grow its portfolio in the leisure sector following our appointment to redevelop the landmark Crystal Palace National Sports Centre and refurbish Kings Hall Leisure Centre in Hackney.

Alongside these achievements, work continues to progress on essential healthcare and residential projects — including schemes such as the Camden Hostels projects and the Oak Wards healthcare facility in Milton Keynes for Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) NHS Foundation Trust.

Central & West

The last year has seen our Central & West region maintain strong momentum, delivering major improvements across a broad range of sectors. Key completions included the third phase of Plymouth’s city‑centre improvement programme and the first phase of the University of Gloucestershire’s City Campus project, transforming the former Debenhams building into a sustainable educational hub generating over £44 million in social value. The Thames Valley team also handed over the Culham Science Centre Nursery & Preschool and reached a major milestone at Reading’s new central library - part of a £10.7 million regeneration of the town's civic quarter.

Alongside these successes, several flagship schemes continue to progress. Work is well underway on the £36 million redevelopment of Southampton’s Outdoor Sports Centre, delivering new sports, leisure and community facilities for the city, while our team in Wales continues to drive forward major net‑zero school projects in Abergavenny and Pen‑Y‑Dre.

Frameworks

The past year saw us successfully resecure our position on the Department for Education's CF25 framework. Our appointment is to both of the high value band lots for projects over ÂŁ12 million, and five of the eight low value band lots for projects between ÂŁ4.5 and ÂŁ12 million. Our re-appointment to the framework in January 2026 reinforces our businesses long-standing relationship with the DfE, having been a construction partner on the two previous iterations where we delivered or are in the process of completing 46 schools projects.

More recently, we've also been chosen as one of a select group of contractors appointed to the government’s New Hospital Programme (NHP) — a £37 billion initiative targeting 40 new hospital schemes across England up to 2040.

Speak to any of our team above to understand more about the frameworks or learn more about all our framework partners here.
