About the project

Buntingford First School is the new net-zero carbon first school located in Buntingford, Hertfordshire.

Built on a former Sainsburys depot site, Buntingford First School will offer approx. 330 school places for pupils aged 5 to 11, and will provide vital school places for children living in 1,500 new properties that have been built in Buntingford since 2011.

The 1643 sqm school will have a nursery and ten classrooms including a rooftop outdoor classroom.

Working in the Buntingford and wider Hertfordshire community

Making a positive difference in the communities we work is a vital part of our responsible business plan.. Our Community Investment Group supports our project teams in the delivery of local community engagement projects. The Northern Home Counties team is part of the wider wider London & Home Counties business unit, which operates out of four regional offices, the Welwyn Garden City Office being associated with this project.

Arian Fanaeian, Site Manager, is the dedicated community contact for the Buntingford First School project and will maintain communications with neighbours and the surrounding community. If you have any questions, please do get in touch with Arian via the contact form at the bottom of the page with any queries regarding the project.

As a business we are proud members of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, which has a Code of Considerate Practice designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.

This page will provide a snapshot of activities we have been undertaking in the local community. You can find out more about the appointment in this press release.
